30 DAYS TO A CHAMPIONSHIP: MORE MEETINGS AND FEELING GOOD ABOUT OUR LEADERSHIP

Jim Boone: Well today there is more administrative details to take care of that are such a big part of coaching on the collegiate level these days.  We had an Athletic Staff Meeting today at 8:00 am, late morning with HR to complete remaining paper work etc., reach out to more high school coaches in the area via phone through-out the day – in the afternoon, meeting Director of Athletics Ken Tyler, going over schedules and much more.

I've said it before, but the amount of cooperation from our administration gives me such great enthusiasm for this job.  There is such an overwhelming commitment from everyone at West Virginia Wesleyan to gain and sustain excellence in all areas -- just not athletics.

I have also had the opportunity to meet with a few players already on campus.  Already I have gained great respect for one of our seniors, Reggie Chambers.  Basketball wise he started last year averaging 10 points and 5.2 assists.  His home town is Miami, Florida.  But my conversation with him the past few days gives me great confidence that we have at the very least one strong leader on this team.  He is very goal oriented -- on the court and off.  In fact, he will graduate this spring with a degree in Criminal Justice.

If Reggie and his attitude our any indication of the make up of this Bobcat Basketball Team than I can't wait to begin coaching all of them!
